As we closed the section on web applications we talked about the fact that there are thousands of web applications capable of many different things.

Please create a presentation about one of these other web-based applications and present it to the class.  You may work with a partner if you wish.  Please write a blog entry about the experience and include a link to your presentation.

This week I'd like you to create a shared presentation with a group of 2 or 3 students.  Post the URL to your blog when it's all finished, and talk about the experience in that blog entry for full credit.

Internet History and Technology

This week we went through the History of the Internet, starting with ARPANET all the way to the IPv6 conversion due later this year.  We also discussed how the basics of the Internet work and how a web page gets from a server to your computer.  Today we finished up this section by discussing the difference between server-side and client-side scripting.

This week blog about what you learned, imagine that you're explaining it to a complete novice.  Perhaps responding to the question "What did you learn in Web Technologies class this week?".

For Spring of 2011 at Bellevue Christian, this is the Teacher's blog in the Web Technologies class.

Here you will find assignments as they are assigned, as well as other thoughts when I have time.

For today the students must create an intro or welcome article for the blogs that they have just set up.  They must also customize the template and layout to their own taste.
